Department of International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD)
It provides a deep understanding of key issues in the complex nature of contemporary international affairs.
IRD students combine theory and practical analysis to examine the contemporary world in which we live at local, national and global levels. The department takes an interdisciplinary program of study that combines political science, economics, history, anthropology, sociology, religion and and other fields.
Our department prepares students for careers in government agencies, foreign service, international and local NGOs (such as in fields of humanitarian assistance, conflict resolution and development), international civil service (such as the United Nations or European Union), multinational corporations, international media, teaching and research.
